Twila Sue McKinney, 82, of Mexico, died at 12:20 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Pin Oaks Living Center in Mexico.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia, Mo.

Twila was born on Sept. 3, 1934, in Centralia, the daughter of Claude and Ethel (Sewell) Owings. On Sept. 10, 1950, she married Bob G. McKinney in Centralia. Bob preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2003.

Twila was an active member of Lockewood Park Baptist Church. She had served as director of WMU. She was a member of the ABC's and Red Hats. She worked for several years as a volunteer with AMC Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting and crafting.

She was an ophthalmologist assistant and worked for 12 years for Dr. Huq. She also had worked for 5 years at Precision Eyecare.

Survivors include one son, Michael S. McKinney and wife Julie, Granite City, Ill.; one daughter, Regina Wigger and husband Gary, Florissant, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Amy Rene Wigger, Shane (Melanie) McKinney, Bobbi (Trevor) Scribner, Katie (Wally) Drennan, and Daniel McKinney; one step grandchild, Kelly Wilson; 5 great grandchildren, Kayla and Afton McKinney, Evan and Owen Drennan, and Emma Scribner; and 1 step great grandchild, Darian Delano.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark McKinney; one brother, Ed Owings; and one sister Dorothy Sexton.
