Virginia Lee Parks Hodges, 82, of Montgomery City, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away at 8:06 p.m. Saturday October 29, 2022, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 19, 2022, at her son Mark's home at 3970 State Road F, Fulton, MO.

Virginia was born on July 10, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri.  She was the daughter of Edward Floyd and Mildred Lorene (Burton) Parks.

Virginia, known to many as "Jenny" or "Ninnie", was married to Kenneth Leroy Hodges on December 24, 1958, in Mississippi.

Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellsville, Missouri, a member of the Wellsville Auxiliary VFW and the Red-Hatters.

Virginia and Kenneth had four children and fostered many children throughout the years.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She worked as a CNA in healthcare for many years and spent most of her time reading, oil painting, sewing and crocheting.  She also enjoyed square dancing and clogging.

Virginia was survived by her son Mark Hodges, and one sister Eadie (Randy) Morts.  She had a total of nine living grandchildren, Matthew (Missy) Hodges, Daniel (Mandy) Hodges, Ricky Tagg, Joseph (Stephanie) Hodges, Danielle (Chris) Spears, Jennifer (Chance) Vomund, Wesley (Andrea) Slavens, Kayla (Kevin) Charlton, and Brenden (Summer) Hodges. She had a total of 21 great grandchildren at the time of her passing.

Virginia was preceded in eternal rest by her husband Reverend Kenneth Leroy; two sons, Edward Leroy, and Kenneth Alan; one daughter Pamela Jane; and one sister Geraldine and her husband Charles Hildreth; two nephews Charles Floyd and Henry; and one niece Joyce.

Arrangements are being handled by Pickering Funeral Home.
