Virginia D. Redmond

Virginia D. Redmond, 99, of Mexico, died Friday morning, November 15, 2013, at Golden Living Center / Pin Oaks.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico. There will be a visitation Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.at Pickering Funeral Home.

Mrs. Redmond was born on December 4, 1913, in Calaway County Missouri, a daughter of Charles and Margaret (Ferguson) Davis. On Nov. 2, 1957, she married James E. Redmond in Mexico. Mr. Redmond preceded her in death on August 13, 2003.

Survivors include one step daughter, Doris D. Ward, Kansas City, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including her cousin, Doris Handy of Fulton.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Mexico.
