Wayne Shuck

Wayne Shuck, 90, of Thompson, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Lakeview Bend Memory Care in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Pickering Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Wilkerson will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Wayne was born on July 6, 1935 in Thompson, Missouri, the son of Lee Leslie Shuck Sr. and Sarah Ellen (Ward) Shuck. On February 25, 1955 he married Marjorie Stone in Mexico, who preceded him in death on December 30, 2002.

Wayne was happiest when he was out on the farm. He loved the work and the life that came with it. He spent 33 years working as a sacker at A.P. Green, putting in an honest day's work before coming home to the land he loved. As much as he enjoyed farming, nothing meant more to him than his family. He treasured any chance to spend time with them, whether it was sharing a meal, lending a hand, or just sitting together and talking. Wayne was the kind of person who worked hard, cared deeply, and never asked for much. He'll be remembered for his love of the land and his devotion to his family.

Survivors include, four sons, Gary Shuck of Thompson, Roger Shuck of Mexico, Mike Shuck of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Mark Shuck (Crystal) of Thompson; and his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly and will miss him every day.

In addition to his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by two sons, Henry Shuck and Harold Wayne Shuck; one daughter, Frances “Sissy” Musgrove; and his 12 siblings.
