William "Bill" F. Kasper

William "Bill" F. Kasper, 91, of Mexico, died at 1:10 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Audrain Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Pickering Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Porterfield officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until service time. Burial will be in St. Brendan Cemetery.

Bill was born January 2, 1923, in Lockport, Ill., a son of William James and Alice (Anderson) Kasper. On August 30, 1944, in Lockport, he married Gertrude Murphy who survives at the home.

He was a member of the St. Brendan's Catholic Church. Bill farmed all of his life and he enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors and attending shows.

In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Dale Kasper of Moscow Mills, Mo.; two daughters Joanne Nelson and husband Kenny of Mexico, and Kathleen Smith and husband Darren of Columbia; two sisters Marjorie Lewey of Litchfield, Ill., and Verna Kasper of Fowler, Ind., six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Rahmeyer, one brother, Verne and one sister, Betty Jane.
