   Betty Frances (Barnett) Morris, 80, of Auxvasse, died Saturday October 28, 2017, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital - Audrain in Mexico.

   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday November 2, 2017, at Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse.  Visitation will be from 9-11 at the church.  Interment will be at the Auxvasse Cemetery.  Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

   Betty was born December 17, 1936, in Salem, Arkansas, the daughter of John H. Barnett and Addie (Kelly) Barnett.  Betty married Earl Rogers in 1954.  He preceded her in death.  She then married Orville Morris in November of 1975.  He preceded her in death.

   Betty grew up in the Salem, Arkansas area. She was the youngest of nine children.  Seven of her siblings precede her in death.  She has one brother, Dewey Barnett of West Plains, Mo. surviving. 

   Betty was very active her church.  She was a Sunday school teacher in Arkansas, member of the W.O.M. at Grand Prairie Baptist Church. She helped with the TEAM Kid program by cooking for everyone.  Betty enjoyed shopping, golfing, crafting, and traveling with her husband Orville.

   Betty is survived by her daughter Jackie Rogers (Auxvasse), three step-sons, Gary Morris and Steve Morris (Poplar Bluff), Kevin Morris (Azil, TX), one brother Dewey Barnett (West Plains), numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. 

   Betty was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, two sons, Greg Rogers (West Plains), David Rogers, (Slinger, WI), husband, Orville Morris (Auxvasse).

   The most important things in Bettys’ life were Family, God, and community.

   Memorial donations can be made to Auxvasse City Cemetery or Central Missouri Honor Flight.

I was so very sorry to hear about Betty. When I saw her at Uncle Orville's funeral she seemed in good health. I know she was greatly loved and will be very much missed.
