Kenneth Lee Baker


Kenneth Lee Baker, 30 of Auxvasse, died around noon on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in a work related accident at Home Decorators in Mexico where he had worked for several years.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Forman officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4 -7 p.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Kenneth was born in Mexico, on July 3, 1982, a son of Charles Martin Baker and Joyce Elaine Martin.  On August 4, 2006 in Mexico, he married Jennifer Garrett, who survives at the home.

In addition to his wife, Jennifer, he is survived by his four daughters, Lillian, Kellie, Emilee, and Hollie; his father, Charles Baker and his wife Diane of Mexico; his mother, Joyce Burns and husband John of Centralia; mother-in-law, Kathy Benton of Mexico; one sister, Jennifer Appling and husband Mike of Mexico; three step-sisters, Amanda Fierge and Eric, Rush Hill, Barbara Boynton and Drew, Viburnun, Mo., Tonya Gravett and husband Bryan, Hallsville; three step brothers, Joseph William and wife Shannon of Moberly, Ronald Williams and wife Karen of Rennick, and Travis Williams and Kathy of Imperial; his grandparents, Wilma Baker of Mexico, Janet Ball Carson of Mexico, and Mildred Martin of Mexico and numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kenneth was preceded in death by two sisters, Amanda Durham and Carrie Lynn Baker; one brother, Jason Ray Baker, two grandfathers, Mancil Baker, Sr. and Herbert Martin, Sr.; father-in-law, Don Garrett and step father-in-law, Orval Bise.

Kenneth was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a 2001 Mexico High School graduate.  He loved hunting, singing, mechanics and assembling model cars.  Most of all he loved playing with his children. 

The family request that memorials be giving to a scholarship fund for Baker children at Show-Me Credit Union.  Memorial can be made to Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, Mo 65265.

So very sorry to hear about Kenny's passing. My heart goes out to his family, his wife and daughters! I am sending you lots of positive thoughts and hugs from afar in your time of need.

I worked at HDC until march of 2009. I do not recall working with Kenny, but i had seen him a couple of times there. My heartfelt sympathy for his entire family and friends in this time of sorrow. My prayers for Jennifer and the girls.

well baby its been 10 days and it still feels like a dream i miss you more than words could ever say my heart will never be the same!!! my life will never be the same without you kenny our babies miss you so much they stoll ask so many questions baby and i just dont know what to say anymore just that i need you and wish this wasnt real!!!
Its been almost a year and still missing u everyday.
